The Ring is UVic’s campus newspaper. The site offered several challenges both in design and technical implementation. The design and layout had to match UVic’s then current template while offering the functionality and ease of use of a news site. That functionality required the site be built using the Drupal CMS but had to maintain UVic’s navigation architecture. In the end the site succeeded both in design and technically, dramatically easing maintenance for the Ring editor while increasing traffic and visibility on campus.
